Heating needed at Gita Nagari

Dear Friends and Well-wishers.

While I was away in Mayapur last month, we had a setback: our wood boiler which provides the central heating for Sri Sri Radha Damodar and the devotees, caught on fire.  We have not established the cause yet.  Fortunately no-one was hurt in any way (the location and building is secured in that way to prevent injury and risk to other buildings).  We are requesting anyone who would like to contribute to restoring our heating to please contact me on dhruva@theyogafarm.com or Snana Yatra prabhu on theyatras@theyogafarm.com with queries and any support that you would like to offer.
The cost of the boiler including installation is $12000.  There are several precautionary measures we plan to take this time around so as to prevent such a re-occurence.
You can send a check payable to ISKCON Gita Nagari, to 534 Gita Nagari Road, Port Royal, Pa, 17082 or alternatively use the link below:

Donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for your support.  The residents are indebted.

Saturday October 18- 6.00-8.00pm   King Corn
King Corn is a humorous and touching documentary about two best friends who decide to move to Iowa to grow an acre of corn after finding out through laboratory hair analysis that their bodies are primarily made out of corn.  But this is not your typical buddy picture.  While it traces a year in the life of two friends, the film focuses on the history of corn in modern America and the filmmakers' relationship with the crop they've decided to grow.

Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements, performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. (Mayo Clinic)
This two hour workshop will offer in the first hour, warmup exercises and qigong, (life energy cultivation). After a short break the second hour will be a focus on tai chi chuan technique and movement.

Please wear loose fitting clothing and sneakers or comfortable shoes suitable for exercise
Facilitator: Bonnie Luther

These tracts of farms are joined together by a community walking trail that has turned into an eco-tourist destination called “The Talking Forest Medicine Trail.”
