Country Style Festival of Chariots - July 28th!
Come one, come all to the 36th Annual Festival of Chariots at Gita Nagari Farm just about 7 miles south of Port Royal, PA! The festival is scheduled for July 28th from 11 am to 6 pm on this 350-acre organic farm in the heart of Pennsylvania.
Start the day by browsing the vendors where you can find everything from Indian clothing to t-shirts, from books to jewelry as well as delicious vegetarian specialties. Tour our organic garden, check out a milking demonstration. Take a carriage ride through the farm. Tour our temple and the newly built and renovated Guesthouses.
At 12 noon take part in the parade, where we will take Lord Jagannath on a tour of the farm. Help pull the Rath cart to the top of Govardhan Hill. Afterward relax on the lawn while listening to music, observe a play or dancing. A free vegetarian feast will be served at 3 pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to relax and enjoy the bucolic Pennsylvania countryside. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and prepare yourselves for a great day!
